Friday, January 16, 2009 Target Dollar Night at the Children's Museum

Steve,Troy, and I went to the Children's Museum tonight and it was certainly worth our $3 dollars. We started off in the baby crawling room, and after Troy was in there with a 6 month old that he towered over he let us know that he outgrew that room by crawling to the door and standing up next to it and jiggling the door to try to get out.
We then proceeded to the a climbing gym. Troy was hesitant about this at first but decided to try it out. He loved climbing up ramps and enjoyed going down the slide. He loved climbing up and down the stairs (like he does not get enough stairs at home).
We then proceeded to the puzzle room where "Hurricane Troy" was in effect. That is when Troy throws all the puzzle pieces to each puzzle on the floor in a very quick fashion. A MIT child researcher than asked if she could do a 5 minute study on Troy. Troy sat in a high chair and watched this 5 minute cartoon which basically repeated the same pictures but with different sizes and she was noting his reaction to each segment. She told us he has a great focus...
It was a fun filled night at the museum. I recommend that anyone with children in the Boston area to check out $1 Target night from 5-9 on Fridays.
