Troy's First Trip to NYC

It has been a couple of months since I made a post as it has been a busy summer for us all. Steve was working in Long Island the last week of July and Troy and I made an impromptu trip to Manahattan for a four day weekend to meet Steve. This was Troy's first long car ride. He did fabulous! We hit alot of traffic and he was a trooper. Luckily right across the street from our hotel there was a playground. That was the first of about 20 playgrounds we would hit over the weekend. We enjoyed some of Famous Original Ray's pizza (brought up in Seinfeld several times) It was good pizza!!

On Friday we decided to hit the Children's Museum in Manhattan since it was raining for a bit. Troy had a blast playing on the firetruck and the imitation city bus. I swear with this facination with vehicles he is going to be a mechanic. After that visit Aunt Patty brought us to a yummy yummy restaurant called Peanut Butter and Company and we had yummy PB concoctions!

On Saturday, we took Troy for his first visit to FAO Schartz. He had fun playing on the BIG piano! He also had fun running through the store. Thank god he is too young to ask me to buy him stuff(perhaps we won't go back there when he is older) We then met Molly for lunch at the Pig N Whistle. I am sure they were happy to see us leave when we did:) We spent the rest of the afternoon in central park at various playgrounds.

It was a tiring but fun trip all in all!
